What is a corporate action?

OneSecurities Operation (OST), it is aevent that affects your stocks or bondsafter you have bought them.

Examples:

  • Payment ofdividends(you receive money if the company has made a profit)
  • Capital increase(the company creates more shares)
  • Granting of free shares

⚙️ Types of Corporate Actions:

🟢 1. Automatic Corporate Actions (by default):

  • You don't have to do anything. Examples:
    • Cash dividends
    • Interest on Bonds
    • Automatic allocation of shares

🟡 2. Corporate Actions with Choices (optional):

  • You mustgive your consentExamples:
    • Subscribe to a capital increase 💼
    • Deciding to buy new shares with your rights

🟢 Dividend payment:

You receive money for each share you own. 💡 Be careful with theex-dividend dateYou must have purchased the stock before this day to receive the dividend.

🟡 Capital increase:

The company wants more money → it issues new shares.

📅 Important dates to remember:

  • Ex-dividend dateday when the right is separated from the title.
